ALMOST READY.

FOR WAR DANGERS.

Switzerland's Feverish Week Of Preparation. GERMAN TROOP MOVEMENTS. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 14. The correspondent at Basle of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that Switzerland, after a week of feverish preparations, is almost completely ready. The substitution of German troops for civil guards from Lake Constance tc Basle, and the appearance of pontoons on the German side of the Rhine, underline Switzerland's danger. Observers believe the Germans will attempt to reach the Rhone Valley through the Swiss middle lands, and persuade Signor Mussolini that the time is ripe for a death-blow against the Allies.
