AID FOR WARDS.
MATER GUILD FUNCTION.
The annual afternoon and evening bridge and mah jong party of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital Auxiliary Service Guild wae held in. the Catholic 'Women's League rooms yesterday. The rooms had been decorated with large bowls of hydrangeas, dahlias and chrysanthemums. The double function is held every year for the purpose of raising funds to provide comforts for the pub" lie wards of the hospital, and also to augment a. fund for the endowment of a cot.
• The organiser was Mrs. E. L. White and the committee comprised: Mesdamee M. Philling, J. B. Callan, A. I. Black, H. Wright, N. Main, A. F. O'Donoghue. Judd, Foote, Everett, J. Sutcliffe and Misses M. Hurley and N. Neenan.
