the case for renewal. "The time may come when Grafton School will no longer be required."' said the chairman of the Auckland Education Board. Mr. W. J. Campbell, to-day, when a letter was received from the committee asking that the case foi a new school should be placed on the board's list of urgent works. The chairman cited the case of another city school which had been closed a* the result of commercial expansion in the vieinitv. The board decided to adhere to its previous opinion that there were other cases of greater urgency.
