CHECK TO NAZIS. Brighter Reports From Areas North Of Trondheim. STRENGTHENING OP LINES. United Press Association.—Copyright, (Received 1.00 p.m.) LOXDOX, April 30. Areas northward of Trondheim yield brighter reports. The Norwegian headquarters assert that the Germans, without' waiting for reinforcements from the south, violently attacked the French and Norwegian lilies oil both sides of Lake Smiasen. The Allies repelled onslaughts, which were supported by 'planes and heavy artillery. ' The Norwegians arc reported to hold good positions eastward of Lake Snaasen, and arc/also w'ell dug'in at Tangen. ... . Swedish reports state,. that German bombers swept- .'over -Nanisos seven tinies in 14 hours and concentrate;? . attacks on landing places. Anti-aircraft guns and lighters took some toll.
The Norwegian military attache it Stockholm declared . that the Allies' lines northward of Trondhicim were greatly strengthened.
Another source points, out that the Hegre fortress, the guns of which dominate the railways .eastward and northward from Trondhcim, are receiving steady supplies of munitions and food. ..........
