ON CHANGE.

OVERSEAS SCRIP QUOTED. MARKET MAINLY NOMINAL. LOCAL SECURITIES LEVEL. For the first time since Thursday, April 10, when the Government Finance Emergency Regulations were issued, overseas securities were quoted on the Auckland Stock Exchange again this morning. Bidding for tnese issues, however, was mainly nominal, and may be expected to remain so for a few days until conditions adjust themselves, and the market again becomes settled. The level of local securities did not show much change. Here and there a slight fall was noticed, but in the main the prices quoted when Australian and other securities were off the market were maintained. Activity continues in Government giltedgeds, though the price is lower. Busier Noon Call. More business was repot ted at the noon call than at the mo'-ning, and it was noticeable that in three ot the six transactions preference issues chunked hands, while two others were for gilt-edged local body issues. Investors arc playing for safety. As far as the bidding was concerned, there was little change. SALES COMPLETED. AT THE 3.15 P.M.
