SHUTTLE SERVICE. ■* « TRANSPORT BOARD DECISION". Although tlw manager. Mr. A. E. Ford, recommended that the recently instituted shuttle service in Oreeii Lane to the Infirmary lie discontinued, as the cost of its operation was so much in exeesS of the patronage afforded it, the Auckland Transport Board this morning decided to maintain the service for a further trial period of two months. A report submitted by Mr. Ford stated that the trial service had been conducted for four Sundays. The excess of traffic wages only over revenue was £o 17/8, and only 1296 passengers were carried.
