WILL SAIL TO-NIGHT.
WAIMARINO FOR AUCKLAND. PORT WAIKATO FOR SOUTH. Mariposa, Matson liner, arrived from Sydney at 8.4 a o'clock this morning, and berthed at Prince's wharf. She carried 336 passengers, 144 of whom were to disembark here. Eighty-five passengers are to join the ship. She sails for San Francisco at 9 o'clock ties evening. Canberra Maru, Osaka Syosen Kaisya motor ship, arrived from Japanese ports, via Melbourne, yesterday morning. She berthed at Central wharf, where she will load for Japan during discharge. Although not definite yet, ,it is expected to sail on Wednesday for Wellington and Lyttelton, leaving Lyttelton for Japan, via Sydney, on May 7. Union Company's Waiana leaves Dunedin today, and is scheduled to leave the Bluff on Wednesday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Waimarino, of the same company, left Timaru on Saturday night for Auckland, via Lyttelton and Wellington. Kiwitea loads at Westport about Thursday for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) Kartigi loads at Greymoiith on_ Monday for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) Port Waikato sails for the South on Wednesday. (X.S.S. Co.) Puriri arrived from Port Waikato yesterday morning, and will sail for Xelson to-morrow afternoon. (X.S.S. Co.) Clansman's arrival at Onehunga has been delayed by bad weather in the Far Xortli. Awahou leaves Nelson to-morrow morning, and is due at Onehunga on Thursday. She will sail the same day for Xelson and bays. (X.S.S. Co.)
Hauturu has been delayed, and is now expected to leave Picton this afternoon for Auckland direct. She is due on Thursday afternoon. (N.S.S. Co.)
