(From Our Correspondent.) HAWERA, Saturday. Advice has been received by Mr. and Mre. P. J. Murphy, of Riverlea, that their son, Pilot-Officer John Daweon Murphy, had been posted mie*ing on active service. He i* the younger son of the family, who had their early upbringing during the time their parents were ho>t and" hostess at the Dawson Falls Hostel, Mount Egmont. An old boy of Sacred Heart College, Auckland, Pilot-Officer Murphy came back to Daw£on Falls after leaving college, and from there went to Wigram to enter the Royal Xew Zealand Air Force. A year ago he went to England on a short-term commission in the Royal Air Force. He wae ba!*ely 21 at the outbreak of war.
