It was a rattling good gallop, and both were going along well at the finish. Rehearsal is to contest the principal event, the Hesley Memorial, and indications are that the Limond geldinn will be one of the chief fancies. He is to be ridden by K. Cliote. Dynasty is on top of the list in the Hack Cup with 8.12, and will be opposed by a stYong Held, but lie is in great fettle, and must be very hard to beat. Xo rider has yet been announced for liim. Curtail was given a good working gallop over live furlon«s, the last half-mile taking ■ >4s. The himoud youngster is to run in the maiden at Awapuni next month. Amatory (M. Hnrnel had Amigo (K. Chote) as a companion in a six-furlonn spin, in which the latter, on the outer, was going along well within himself at the end. about a length in front, the time being 1.1.> The intermediate times were: 13s. 2.V. 37 2 .V. .">os and 1.5 2-.">. Amigo has been allowed to drop out of the sprint event, and will run in t'he Besley Memorial, in tvliich he can be depended upon to keep the best of the others very -busy, as he is in great heart. Amatory's effort was a good one. ami following a spin over five furlongs on Safurdiiy in 1.3_ shows that he is back to hit* Ixtst. The Kiosk jrehlinir has been left in both the High-weight event and the Hack Cup on Saturday, a-nd will be ridden by K. Chote in whichever event he starts. Gold Gain jumped away with Golden Pam at the five-furlong post, bur the latter cleared right away from her companion, running an even 13s to the furlong all the way without being extended. The Highweight event is Golden Pain's mission, and if she does her best on the day should »>e in the money.
