CONSERVING FUNDS.
HUNT CLUB'S NEEDS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. The need for conserving the club's finances following a loss of over £400 incurred as a result of a cancellation of the- second day of the race meeting in which the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt Club was associated with the Bay of Plenty Racing Club, was stressed at the annual meeting of the Hunt Club last niglit by the master, Dr. H. Bertram. Nevertheless, the master pointed out, the club had still an opportunity to use its one-day totalizator permit and would do 90 on July 27 when a one-day meeting would be held at Rotorua. If the club should be favoured by fine weather on this occasion it should have an opportunity of recouping its los*ses.
