WAIKINO MYSTERY. OFFER BY GOVERNMENT. "MATERIAL INFORMATION." Despite a wide and intensive .search by detectives and police, the Waikino tragedy remains a mystery. The Government has now offered a reward of £.JOO for material information which will lead to the discovery of the person responsible for the deaths of Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton, aged 27, and the boy, Lloyd Moran, on the main Pacroa-Waihi highway on the night of April 2. bidemnity against prosecution is promised accomplices who did not actually cause the death* and who proffer conclusive evidence against the guilty person. Since the discovery of the bodies of Mrs. Hamilton and the boy about four miles apart detectives and police have examined hundreds of motor vehicles and many persons have been inteiviewed. Waikino and the surrounding country being thoroughly combed.
