AUTUMN FIXTURE. EXCELLENT ENTRIES. TWENTY-ONE IN FERGUSSON. Very satisfactory entries have been received by the Auckland Trotting Club for its autumn meeting, which is to be held at Alexandra Park on Saturday, April 27. The Ferguason Handicap is the principal race on the programme and the nominations, totalling 21, include the best pacers in the province. The Devonport Handicap, for novice pacers, has a list of 31, and the committee of the club has decided to raise the stake money from £280 to £400 and run the event as two divisions, each worth £200. This has the effect of increasing the programme to eight races. Handicaps will be published next Monday morning and acceptances will close with the secretary, Mr. A. E. Forrest, at noon the same day.
