REFUSED TO LEAVE.
Courageous British Destroyer Commander. SEIZED BT RATINGS. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON. April 12. Survivors from the British destroyer Ghurka say the qpmmander refused to leave when the ship was sinking and two ratings seized and almost threw him into a rescue boat.
The Ghurka had experienced fire previous air raids after entering the scene of action on April 7. German 'planes continued to drop bombs while another warship was picking up her survivors.
