Quoted By The King

The now famous quotation used by the King on Christmas Day from a poem from Miss M. L. liaskins has been set to music. The author has autographed the historic words and the manuscript will be auctioned in aid of the Red Cross Fund. Miss Haskins, grey-haired and retiring, has gained world-wide fame since the King's broadcast. She was once a tutor in the social science department of the London School of Economics, and now lives quietly in Sussex. A new volume of her poems, entitled "The Hand of God," will shortly be published.
