AVONDALE PLUNKET.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual business meeting of the Avondale branch of the Phmket Society was held in tho Salvation Army Hal!. Avondale. The treasurer's report showed a gratifying result, being above quota lor the year. The nurse's report showed visits during the year as follows: — Adults lfifiS, babies 1491, older children 412, making a total of 3571. It was stated that the Truby King Junior Leaguc had steadily grown, membership now numbering 140. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. R. Donaldson; vice-presidents, Mrs. R. Banks. Mrs. S. Meßride; secretary, Mrs. F. Everton; assistant, secretary. Mrs. H. Bodmin; treasurer. Mrs. H. Wheeler; Junior League secretary, Mrs. G. Browne; committee, Mesdames D. Campbell. H. Creep, \V. Williams. H. Hunt. A. Moore. Shaw, G. Curd, Miss R. Thomas. The retiring treasurer was the recipient of a bouquet, and deep regret was expressed 011 her having to relinquish office owing to indifferent health'. Mrs. Lurlev, patroness, also received a bouquet. Miss Chapman, charge nurse at Plunket headquarters. spoke on Plunket work, and was the recipient of a bouquet. Mrs. Beamish and Miss 1!. Thomas rendered solos, which were much appreciated, and Mrs. H. Bollard was pianist. The bring-a n<l-buy stall was taken in charge of by .Mrs. Banks.
