EARLY FALL DOUBTFUL.
BRITISH BUTTER PRICES. LONDON", April 6. Traders are not very optimistic regarding the possibility of an early reduction in the faxed price of butter, in epite of the continued slump in consumption. It is too early to estimate accurately the response to the ration of eight ounces a week, but it appears that consumption will not rise much above rive ounces per head. Meanwhile, stocks in cold storage must be growing, with the reported steady imports from Continental countries, iii addition to Empire sources.
