RIFLE SHOOTING.
AKARANA CLUB.
The Aknrana Riflo Club concluded the championship for the 1039-40 season when the club shot the final shoot over the rangee of eight hundred and nine hundred yards. There was a good attendance of members nnd the shooting throughout th* afternoon was keen. The leading men at the commencement of the shoot were W. Colouhoun 570 points. R. F. Wakefield 568, C. M. .Tenklnson r>63. point* and E J C. Reston 560 points. The final positions were »<• follows :—-W. Colquhoun. A. D. Chut field ami R. P. Wakefield. Section B.—Championship was won bv D.
