Tourney Results — Basketball And Tennis. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The inter-Varsity Easter tournament wag confined to basketball and shooting this morning, with the finals of the athletics this afternoon, and swimming this evening. The weather was the hottest of the summer. Results:— BASKETBALL. First Grade.—Auckland beat Victoria, 17—15 ; Canterbury beat Otago. 17 —16 ; Auckland beat Otago, 35—18; Auckland beat Southland. 11—7. Second Grade.—Ashburton beat Wanganui, 14—10; Manawatu beat West Coast. 10—5. Secondary Schools.—Horowhenua beat Raurimu, 16—5. TENNIS. In the replay of the women's singles Miss Pears (Victoria College) beat Miss Spackman (Otago), 7—5, 6—3. SHOOTING. Canterbury won the Haslam Shield.
