LABOUR CONFERENCE.

DELEGATES TRAVEL SOUTH.j BIG BALLY IX WELLINGTON. Intense interest is being taken throughout the Dominion in the Easter conference of the New Zealand Labour party which commences in Wellington Monday morning. A large number of Auckland delegates arc already in Wellington, having remained over after the Federation of Labour conference this week, and their numbers will be swelled by representatives of various city and suburban Labour organisations who are leaving Auckland to-day and as late as to-morrow night.

A wide variety of topics is covered in the remits presented for consideration at the conference, and it is anticipated that even the overshadowing illness of the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. SI. J. Savagej will not minimise to any great extent clashes of opinions held by the more conservative group of Labour supporters and the so-called Left Wing section on questions of democratic procedure and monetary issues. The opinion has been expressed in some quarters that the views of party members could be largely welded together, however, if Cabinet were made elective so as to give the younger men. including a good proportion of returned soldiers, their opportunity.
