After hearing the evidence of defendant and two witnesses, Mr. C; IL Orr Walker, S.M., ■ yesterday afternoon dismissed a cmu'ge against Eric Reginald Monteith, motor engineer, aged 45, charged with being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car in Green Lane Roa4 in February 10; Mr. Mackay appeared for the defendant. The magistrate said that after hearing the etidence there was some doubt on the question as to whether the defendant, who said that he had only had two email glasses of beer that afternoon, was intoxicated to such an extent as to place -him in an unfit state to drive a caav
