Ladies Auxiliary Vr St. Andrew's Society.
The good work being done for the soldiers by the member* was commented upon.by Mrs. J. K. Black, president, at the annual meeting of the St. Andrew's Ladies' Auxiliary, held in the Fabian Clubrooms yesterday. Sewing and knitting circles were held every week, and Mrs. Black appealed for help in; the knitting of the balaclavas which were required each month for the soldiers.
In presenting the annual balance-sheet, the treasurer, Mrs. D. McLaren, said that there had been a good increase ovei last year's balance and mention was made of donations which had been made to the Red Cross, the Chinese Relief Fund and St. James' Church, where'the weekly sewing bees are held.
Mrs. Massicks, secretary, in her re* port of the past year, thanked the president and committee for their enthusiasm and support, and also the speakers and artists who had entertained' them during the year. Items were given by members.
The following elections took place: — President, Mrs. J. K. Black; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. W. H. Tongue, Mrs. W. McKain, Mrs. P. C. Wright, Mrs. J. W. Bisset, Mrs. W. R. Fletcher, Mrs. George Spicer, and Mrs. E. Frieker; secretary, Mrs. T. Massicks; treasurer, Mrs. D. McLaren; committee, Mrs. R. Robertson, Mrs. J. Douglas, Mrs. G. Fraser, Mrs. G. Henderson, Mrs. J. S. Black, Mrs. P. Hatton, Mrs. I. Goldie, Mrs. Allbon, Mrs. F. D. Banks, Mrs. Jack, Mrs. E. Stuart, and Hiss Grace Cameron; accompanist, Mrs. Armstrong Keven.
