DEATH SENTENCE.

LOOTING BY ARTILLERYMEN. (Received 10 a.m.) PARIS, February 21. Military Courts passed the death sentence on two artillerymen for looting an evacuated house, also on a 26-year-old German-born man for espionage. It is decreed that the ex-Communist leader, Maurice Thorez, be deprived of his French nationality. A delegation from the British Labour party executive, including Mr. C. R. Attlee, has arrived to confer with French Socialists.
