DESERT CHARGE.

REALISTIC ATTACK. New Zealanders "In Action" For First Time. " DIED LIKE HEROES" United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received noon.) CAIRO, February 21. New Zealanders for the first time went into action" when the infancy, supported by light tanks and Bren-gun carriers, attacked the enemy holding strategic hilltops in the vicinity of the contingent's desert camp. Obseivers witnessed an impressive spectacle as the attacking force, in open order preceded by tanks, churned up the sand in a general advance during a heavy rainstorm. ° Continuous rifle fire on an adjacent range added to the realism. The advancing force broke it,to a run and bayonet charged as it approached the enemy." The defenders withdrew hastily to the accompaniment of shouts from the attackers: "We'll tell your mother, Digger, that you died like a hero."
