AUSTRALIAN SHARES WEAK. , INDUSTRIALS MARKED DOWN. Reflecting the weaker tendency in Australia, share values were irrejitilar 011 the Auckland Stack Lxc'nange to-day. The effect was noticeable in all the Australian leaders, hut Dominion securities were comparatively immune. In a sharp reaction from their peak of £1 17/3 at the beginning of the week Mount Lyells tell *>ack to buyers at £1 14/ and sellers at £1 15, 0, at the morning call. Broken Hill Proprietaries were ti ans-let red (id below yesterday's price, Mount Morgans and Eleetrol.> tic Zincs had reduced quotations and almost generally buyers of Australians moved back or diopped out. Among the New Zealand shares marked down were Auckland (jus. which were ti ausfcrred 2d lower. Most Dominion issues maintained their recent improvement, but exceptions were breweries, Wilsons Cement and Woolworths iX.Z.) The two Fiji goldinining issues, Emperor and Loloma, which had been particularly stroimly lately, had wide limits, with holders willing to accept less than recent ruling values. Changes in values at noon included a rise in National Hanks to £2 6/, their highest price since last July, and a fall of 1. V4t in Goldsbrough Morts. Sellers of Dominion Breweries came in at £1 13/6 without attracting buyers.
