WATERFRONT OPERATIONS. SHIPPING BODY'S DECISION. ■ ■' ■ - - i Work on the Auckland waterfront will fce suspended between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the occasion of the arrival of H.M.S. Achilles. An announcement to this effect was made,this' morning by Captain R. S. Lewis, chairman of the Port of Auckland: Shipping and Stevedores' Association. The association's decision, he explained, had been made in compliance with the request of the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, and to give everyone concerned with shipping an opportunity of paying his tribute to the personnel of the Achilles.
