BREAKING AND ENTERING.

LABOURER FOR SENTENCE. A labourer, James Drummond McKen--:ic (27), appeared in the Police Court, before Mr. J. Morling, S.M., to-day, charged that on December 7, at Papakura, he broke and entered the shops of Reginald Francis Hayes and Hilda Mary Higgins and committed the crime of theft. In a statement made'to the police in. which he admitted the charges, McKenxie said he was drunk when he entered the shops. Pleading guilty to both charges, he was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
