Britain's New Hitler Film
HITLER'S "evil voice'* and his sinister personality will pervade a new British film now being prepared—but Hitler will not be seen. lie is to be presented in a manner that has in the past been reserved only for the film presentation of Christ. In "Freedom Radio," now being made by British National Films, the man playing Hitler will not be seen. "The face of a man portraying Christ has been kept off the screen because this method heightens the effect of power and does not offend religious sentiment," said Brian Desmond Hurst, director of "Freedom Radio." "But we are keeping Hitler's face off the screen because we want to show by implication that he is a Satanic figure. "Even his name will not be used, although we have the Censor's permission to do so. He will be called 4 Tho Leader.' "We are calling other actors by the names of Goering, Goebbcls, Ilimmler and so on." Clive Brook will bo a throat specialist, and Diana Wynyard the Leader's favourite actress in this story based in tlie mysterious Freedom Radio station now broadcasting anti-Xazi propaganda.
