HANDICAPS DECLARED. The following handicaps have been declared 'by Messrs. J. T. Paul and J. Gee for the Novice Drivers' event, one 1 mile and a half, to bo run at; the matinee meeting of the Auckland Trotting Owners, Trainers and Breeders' Association on February 3:— Mountain Emblem, Royal Palm (T.), Sequoia. Sweet Aloe.=, Winning Post, limit; Bonnicdene. Grand Dame, "Wishful, 36yds; John's Last. 45yds: Handicapper, Silver Watch. oOyds; Bedford 72yds; Munga Tangi. Slvds; Compass, lOSyds; Peter Smith, 120 yds. In all other event's hoiscs start from the limit, with the exception of Clay Pot who, in the Publicans' Purse, is on 24 yaxd6, this being her assessed mark nnder the] rule providing for.penalties on non-winning ; novices gaining several sccond placings.
