R.A.F. ACHIEVEMENT. Will Be Effective Reply To Nazi Pictures. AMAZING DETAIL. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 0.30 a.m.) LONDON", January 17. .Photographs of Germany, taken by R.A.F. reconnaissance pilots, are remarkable for their thoroughness and efficiency. They will be an effective reply to German propaganda pictures, like that of the Firth of Forth raid, concerning "which American picture papers expressed such enthusiasm. Many of the R.A.F. pictures were obviously taken from heights of only 2000 ft to 3000 ft, whereas the German pictures of Britain were all taken from great heights. It is believed that for every photograph which the Nazis have taken of Britain and France the R.A.F. has secured about 50 of Germany. One shows a large air base, with over 20 warplanes preparing to take-off. Details of the engines and propellers are visible.
