MATAMATA STOCK SALE.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report that at their .stock sale at ALitumata there was a full yarding of beef and •boner cows, and a heavy yarding of bulls. Prices generally were steady at late rates. There was a full yarding of all classes of sheep. Competition for fat sheep was steady, and values remained firm at rates equal to those ruling at Frankton. Competition for a full yarding of store la.mbe was not as brisk as anticipated, and values were slightly easier than late quotations. There w.-is the largest yarding of fat pigs for several seasons. A feature of the entry was the number of pens of good quality buconers, for which competition wan very keen throughout. Values were fully up to recent Frankton rates. There was also a keen demand for buttermilk pigs and porkers, and here again a pood sale resulted. Store and wean or pigs were penned in average numbers, large stores selling well, but slips and wearietti were hard to quit.
