MR. LEE'S COMMENT.

. Mr. Lee returned from Wellington this morning. When asked, on his arrival, to say whether lie intended to attend to-night's meeting of the Auckland L.R.C'., he did not reply directly. He said he was "in better lighting or hanging weight" than since his enlistment in the last war. While not prepared to comment on to-night's meeting, Mr. Lee did say he "preferred to be shot in the chest lighting for his principles to be shot in the stern while deserting."
