CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The death is reported from London of Mr. Samuel George Raymond, K.C., who was admitted to the New Zealand Bar in 1883 and practised in Timaru until 1010 before transferring to Christchurch. In 1913 lie was apr.ointed King's Counsel and watt Crown Prosecutor at (,'hristchurch from 1!)14 until his retirement in 1920. From 1917 to 1919 he was on the board of governors of Canterbury College, and in 1924-25 was chairman of the War Pensions Appeal. As Dominion delegate, Mr. Raymond, travelled to Home in 1928 to the International Copyright, Conference, to Geneva in 1929 to the International Conference for Revision of tho Red Cross Convention, and in the same year to the conference on the Operation of Dominion and Merchant Legislation.
