The following are the postal arrangements for the holidays:— Tuesday, December 26 (Boxing Day), and Monday, January 1 (New Year's Day).— Both days will be observed as close holidays. Malls usually dispatched before 7.15 a.m. will close at 4 a.m., and those after 7.15 a.m. at the latter hour, except that mails for southern offices for despatch by the r.lmlted express will close at the Chief Po<#t office, Auckland, at 5.15 p.m. Late fee lettsni may be posted at the Chief Post office up to 6.30 p.m., and at the railway station up to 7.5 p.m. The special clearance ti om certain suburban offices will be made nts p.m., and the usual night clearance of street receivers will be carried out.
