FOB CENTENNIAIi REGATTAS
There woe a good attendance lasi- evening at the Poneonby Cruising Club's rooms of boat owners to arrange matters for a visit to the Wellington Centennial Regattas on January 20" end 22, at which 24 Auckland yachta wIU compete.
Mr. J. J. Mackay, commodore of the Poneonby Club, presided, and explained the mode of transport, cost and other details. The visit was taken up enthusiastically by owners, and definite arrangements made for 24 tooate and tfceir crews to go to Wellington.
The boat* are: 18-footers—Manene. Manaia. Manoa, Jeanette, Limerick, Maina.ru and Aquilla: 14-footers —Caress, Invader, Mania, Taeping ; Z class—Fury, Betty, .Ranee and Lyla. There will be eight Silver Ferns end one IJle Along class.
Mr. J. J. Mackay was appointed manager, Mr. E. Ewen secretary-treasurer, and Sir. W. A. Wilkinson reporter.
The majority of the. party will leave on Wednesday, January 17. and will be in Wellington in time to see the fintile of the Sanders, CornweU and Idle Along Cups. Caress and her crew will leave the previous week.
