OBITUARY.

MR. ROBERT MILNE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) IXVERCARGILL, this day. -Mr. Robert (Milne, who died at Milton in his 74th year, was a valuer for the Government Valuation Department in Otago for more than 30 years, retiring on superannuation in 193(5. He then represented the Department on the Otago Rehabilitation Committee, retiring finally at C'hristchurcli last year. MR. H. C. TONKS. ' An old resident of Auckland and a prominent figure in racing and polo activities in the period before the Great War, Mr: Harry Cecil Tonka, of Reniuera. has died at the age of 72. The *011 of the late Mr. (Benjamin Tonks, Mayor of Auckland from 1875 to 187 (», lie. studied at Christ's College and afterwards entered business as an ironmonger. Prominent in his younger days as a polo player, he was also a member of the Pakuranga Hunt Club, and more recently acted as assistant judge for the Auckland Racing Club. He was a member of the Auckland Golf Club. Mr. Tonks is survived by his widow and one son. MR. G. C. MARSHALL. (From Our Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Wednesday. The death has occurred of Mr. G. C. Marshall, of Whangarei, at the age of (>•>. Mr. Marshall was born at Thames, and came with his father to Whangarei at the a/;e of eighteen. The family set up business as general storekeepers and later the business developed into the ironmongery, and hardware firm of James Marshall and Sons. Mr. Marshall was a foundation member and past president of the Whangarei Rotarv Club. He is survived by liis wife, two sons and a daughter. MR. ERIC THEODOR MOLLER. (By Ttlegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The death has occurred of Mr. Eric Tlieodor Moller, aged 59. Mr. Moller was the fourth son of the late Mr. Carl Moller, who founded an engraving and silversmiths business in Dunedin" On the retirement of his brother, Major Moller, from the firm, he joined another brother, Mr. H. K. Moller, in partnership, and on the death of the latter he controlled the business until his death. Mr. Moller was keenly interested in yachting and swimming, and was a prominent Mason, being a past master of Lodge Otago, Xo. 7, and past grand deacon of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand. He is survived by his widow and three sons. Messrs. C. E. Moller, of Ashburton. L. F. Moller. a Rhodes scholar, of Invercargill, and Dr. H E Moller.
