A performance probably unequalled at a floodlight amateur sports meeting in the Dominion wa« given by L. Grey, holder of the Poverty Bay record of sft llin. He jumped 6ft Jin. _ The record jump In New Zealand wa« made by V. Perasalo, of Finland, during a tonr of New Zealand In 1935. The best performance credited to a New Zealander is the 6ft Jin by the Aucklander, M. H. Chadwick, in. 1938.
