BRIDGE PARTY.

TO AID RED CROSS. TAKAPUNA BRANCH. A successful bridge party was held in the home of Mrs. H. Afoore. Tnkapuna. on Wednesday afternoon in a'wi of the Tttkapuna branch of the Red Cross Association (literary section). The hostesses were Airs. H. Moore. Mrs. K. Elliott, Mrs. H. C. Levett and Mrs. Swainson. Large bowls of roses and lilies made a delightful setting for the party. Prizes were donated by Mrs. K. lilliott and Miss Swainson, those holding winning scores being Mrs. H. Robertson (contract) and Mrs. F. Millington (auction). Amongst the players were: Mrs. K. J. Del low, Mrs. E. Laurenson, Mrs. J. Stect, Mrs. J. Saxon. Mrs. Kreutzer, Mrs. H. Russell, Mrs. F. Epps, Mrs. Mains, Mrs. Allniitt, Mrs. C. Black, Mrs. J. Vugler, Mrs. A. Moreni, Mrs. (!. Collard, Mrs. H. Kissen, Airs. Leslie Smith, Mrs. Davies, Mrs. If. Robertson, Mrs. Tot-man. Mrs. \V. A. Brown, Mrs. C. S. Davies, Mrs. !•'. Nagle. Mrs. Millington. Mrs. Eckett, Airs. Stronach, Mrs. VV. Lewins. Airs. VV. Scott. Airs. V. Von Stunner, Airs. AI. E. Turtill, Miss Gladys Williams, Miss Mains. Mrs. K. -L Dellow. chairman of the Takapuna Red Cross sub-centre, thanked the hostesses for their efforts on behalf of the association and commented on the keenness of the workers on the lakapuna branch of the association.
