FLYING-OFFICER CARTER.

EDUCATED AT NEW PLYMOUTH,

TE AROHA, thin day.

Advice was received here to-day that Flying-Officer D. C. R. Carter, aged 2«, formerly of Elthani, was killed on active service. Ho join'eu the R.A.F. three years ago and was recently transferred to one of the new fast fighter squadrons.

The son of Mr. Ernest Carter, of Elthani, and brother of Mrs.. M. P.* Hall, of Te Arolia, Flying-Officer Carter was educated at the Xew Plymouth Boys' High School. He ha* a brother stationed at the air force base at Blenheim.
