DO POLITICIANS THINK?
A survey of the world's position to-day should cause certain politicians and others to think. Do they ever think! England has spent a pittance of seven- • teen hundred millions upon preparation - for defence in case of war during the • last three years, representing an approxb , mate weight of 4406 tons of pure gold. Xow this money was all subscribed bf taxation, thus the. greater part was suoscribed by the hated capitalist, to the fact that the average worker pays a very small portion of this amount. Xow this seventeen hundred millions i> 2011 c for ever. Who got mo6t of it? The workers in the form of increased wages and overtime. The cost of the war will probablv be eight or ten times as much as this original expenditure. Again, who pays? The capitalist. Xow 011 the face of this enormous expenditure of real money, what is the use of all this clap-trap talk by certain politicians of '"'costless credit," "Douglas Credit", and "racketeer financiers'? VERITAS.
