Nazis Extending Forts To North Of Luxemburg.
GREAT AIRCRAFT ACTIVITY. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 1.30 p.in.) LONDON", November 7. Following a protest to Germany against the violation ot' Belgian territory by 'planes, the Air Minister at Brussels has ordered the banning of flight by all 'planes over Belgium except commercial machines, which have been granted .special permission.
A (ierman communique reports no important actions but slight reconnaissance arid artillery activity on both sides. A British aeroplane was brought down near Main/., and two French 'planus were shot down near Saarlautern in a'r fighting.
German aeroplanes, reported to be Heinkels, flew over the Shetlands at a great height and disappeared in the haze under brisk anti-aircraft fire. They did not drop bombs.
German labourers are working day and night extending the fortifications north of Luxemburg opposite Vianden, 6ays a Paris message.
The Berlin correspondent of the British United Press states that the people of Berlin, though as usual kept uninformed, exjioct a definite result from Hitler's morning conference with Field-Marshal (ioering. General Branch itsoh and General Keitel.
Great aircraft activity is reported from numerous points on tlie FrancoLuxemburg frontier. Several air lights occurred. A Copenhagen message says t'.vo bomliers, Wlicved to be German, pursued by 12 fighters, were righted off the west coast of Jutland. The bombers appeared from the north. A short battle ensued and then the combatants disappeared.
The night communique issued in Paris states there has been local patrol and artillery activity at various points, while the com in unique this morning said the night was quiet.
