Mr. E. L. Rutletlge will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Mr. W. P. E.idean, M.P.. will leave by the Limited express for Wellington this evening. Mr. M. A. Toomey will be a passenger for Wellington by to-night's Limited express. Captain W. H. D. Gardner was a passenger to Wellington on this afternoon's express. Mr. E. G. Bridgens returned from \\ ellington by the Limited express this morning. Mr. W. Bishop, chief accountant to New Zealand Railways, left for Wellington by train to-day. Mr. Ronald Syme, Fellow of Trinity College, Oxford, and formerly of Eltham, is on the headquarters staff'of the Ministry of Information, London. The Rev. G. H. Jupp was unanimously nominated, at a meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery last night, as ModeratorDesignate of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, states a Press Association message from Dunedin. The Rev. S. R. Wareing who, during his 10 years in New Zealand, was vicar of Te Awamutu, and chaplain of the Waikeria Institute and the Tokanui Mental Hospital, has accepted the living of Pedmore, Stourbridge. Mr. Wareing returned to England from the Dominioii in 1936, since when he has been' curate of Hagley, near Wolverhampton.
