She began smartly, but eoulil not get tar away from Aliens, who drew out in the final furlong to heat her iiisily. Kinsman, who was slow' away, moved up to be a moderate thud, limiting I'uella. who ran green, with Lot ahead close up. The winner, who was having Ins liisl laee. is a Mean I'ere colt from Helen Hunt, a Hunting Song mare from (!. K Moore's Helen Portland family. This eolt may lie the best two-year-old to race this season. Will Dc Better. Sir Ain v as. i-gi, Ouiapn, Scold and St.v list, were ani'Uig the early leaders hi the St.i'owau I'late. Untapo and Not Out led (ray Lamer. Sir Aniyan, Yogi and Mosgiei after three furlongs, while at the t.ilse rail Not Out was followed by Mosgiei, with Yogi linndy. Not Out drew away, winning easily, while Yogi outstay 111 Mosgiei for second. (lav Lancer followed after a gap, with St.v list. Sir Amy as and Astronomer next. The winner has not lieen hurried and should be a good hoivc before the end of the season. The Derby gave lleaulivre his eiglit.li BUeecssivi! win this season and as. lie wound up last season with two wins his record is now ten in a row. Beaulivre took the lead after a furlong. Winning Rival soon joining him, but N'igger Boy ran past them at the nine-furlong pout, where Baran, Moorsotis and Kobi followed in that order. There was no change to the straight, where Winnitig Rival retired, while Moorsotis moved up. Beaulivre took the lead a furlong from the post and kept going to beat Moorsotis by two lengths, while a length further back Baran beat Nigger Boy by a head. Beaulivre's win told nothing new, as with the slow pace early the race bccamo little more than a sprint. There was a great finish in the Criterion Handicap. tiny Chou and Skyrena took the lead after a furlong with Mishna and Xightealm npxt. Then Mishna replaced Cay Chou alongside Skyrena, these two leading Nightcalm and Gay Chou to the straight, where Sleeveless was last after being slow away. Skyrena fell a furlong from the post, her rider. W. F. Ellis, escaping serious injury. Nightcalm and Mishna were engaged in a great battle when Lady Leigh dashed up between them, beating Mishna in the last stride by a short head, with Nightcalm a similar distance back. (lay. Chou and Sleeveless were several lengths away. This was the best form of Lady Leigh, a smart but nnsound marc. Sleeveless disappointed. The Sandwichman, Dainty Sue, Master Dingle and Sovereign Lady were the early leaders in the Fendalton Handicap, Hunting Cat moving up fast to join in after two furlongs. Settlement was last at this stage. Ned Cuttle, Therm idor and Siegmund being in front of him. Wardress then moved up fast, joining The Sandwichman at the five furlong post, and going to the front a little further on. She was still clear at the entrance to the straight, hut beaten at the distance. Sovereign Tjiidy then took charge, winning decisively from Settlement, who came home fast, while Siegmund, with an even later challenge, was only a head away. Hunting Cat, Rabble and Wardress were next. Wardress was used up making up ground in the middle stages, and Dainty Sue failed in the run home. A Great Effort. Duncannon registered a great effort to win the Randolph Handicap. Great Legion. Phenomenal and Boloyna had charge from Combat, Guspini and Flame Queen after a furlong. Great Flight and Areas joining in a little further on. There was not much change to the straight. Boloyna nnd Flame Queen took charge at the distance, but Duncannon staged a brilliant run from a good way back, beating Boloyna decisively. Flame Queen was close up, with Areas, Great Legion and Combat next. Areas was unlucky meeting with trouble early. Globe Trotter made a strong run to win the Epsom Handicap on the post. Kilrohe got off badly, Globe Trotter, Spartan and Wild Talk being smartest out, but Queen Dorothy moved up fast, taking the lead after two furlongs, with Swordstick arid Globe Trotter handy. Spartan met with trouble and lost his place, while Wild Talk also drifted. Kilrobe then moved up fast, joining Queen Dorothy in the lead, Globe Trotter, The Wrecker, High dec ami Swordstick following to the straight. Kilrobe and Queen Dorothy had a great, battle from the distance, but Globe Trotter staged a fine finish, beating Kilrobe bv a head, with Queen Dorothy a similar distance away. Talk finished well to get fourth, The Wrecker and High Glee being next. Wild Talk was having her first race this season, and will improve. Later results were:— IllWBI.!, HANDICAP of £300.
