TENNIS CLUBS. OFFICIAL OPENING. On Saturday afternoon the Young Women's Christian Association celebrated the opening of the intermediate and advanced tennis clubs. Miss E. Bennet, general secretary of the association, served the first ball for the intermediate club at Remuera. Miss Patricia Page presented her with a Itouquet. The advanced court entertained Miss E. Matthews, who performed tha opening ceremony on the Epsom court. Miss J. Harmsworth acted in the capacity of hostess.
PROGRESSIVE CLUB.
Mrs. Murdoch, president, and the committee were in charge of the programme at the monthly sociaJl of the Y.W.C.A. Progressive Club. A jolly evening was «I>ent in games and dancing. Items were given by Miss Mr. Andrews and Miss .Suitor. Competitions were won il»y Mrs. Neels, Miss Fizzenden, Mrs. Webster, Miss Green and Mrs. Baker. The music was supplied by Mr. Andrews. The accompanists were Mrs. Xeels and Mr. Andrews.
