DEATH IU WELLIKGTOH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Well known in musical circles in New Zealand, Mrs. E. E. Muir, formerly Miss Gladys Watkins, died at her home, Kelburn, Wellington, to-day. Mrs. Muir, a j daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Watkins, was born at Akaroa. Later ehe resided at Christclmrch, but for most of her life she lived in Wellington. Some years ago she went overseas, studying carillon playing in London, Bruges and iMalines. She gained her diploma hi ! carillon playing in Malines. j About 1931 she returned to New Zealand and was appointed permanent carilloniet at the Wellington carillon. Later she went to Sydney for health ! reasons, where she married Mr. Muir. chief reporter of the Evening Post, and then returned to Wellington.
