Mr. A. G. Brown left for Wellington by train this afternoon. -Mr. H. K. AYursp left for Wellington by this afternoon's express. Mr. F, A. Hellaby was a passenger on this afternoon's express for Wellington. Mr. W. A. Donald will lie a passenger on to-night's Limited express to Wellington. Sir Charles and Lady Norwood will return to Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Dr. T. J. Hughes. Dr. C. ff. Gilbert and Dr. H. Smith, medical health officers, will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Mr. A. Turner, supervisor of imported fruit for the Internal Marketing Department, will leave for Wellington thi* evening by the Limited express. Major A. H. Carrington. formerly of the New Zealand Staff Corps, lias been appointed brigade major of the 182 nd (Birmingham) Infantry Brigade of the Oljif Division. Dr. J. A. Watson, who was recently appointed honorary visiting dermatologist to the Auckland Hospital, hns resigned the appointment owing to the exigencies of his duties us port health officer and examining officer in the Royal Xaval Volunteer Reserve.
