When fire broke out in an attached wash-house at the home of Mr. D. B. Mackersey. Hiriri Avenue, Remuera. the inside walla and eeiling of the washhouse were burned. The Remuera fire brigade attended, quelling the outbreak before any serious damage was done. The house is owned by Mrs. Culford Bell. *
