SINKING OF DOLPHIN. PUBLICATION DEFERRED. (From Our Correspondent.) OHRrSTCTfURCFT, Tuesday. If issued nt nil, tlip report. by the hoard of inquiry into the sinking of the Dolphin by the Battery Point coastal defence gun will not l>e released until the inquest on Mr. Frederick James Brassell is held. "The report is purely a Departmental one, as we have to pet the facts as soon ns we possibly can," said the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, in a telephone interview. The Minister said he had not yet received the report, the publication—if at all—of any details of which would be deferred until the inquest was finished. So far, no information had been received as to when the inquest would be resumed.
The report of the hoard of inquiry was handed during the week-end to Colonel P. H. Bell, Officer Commanding the Southern Military District, it was studied by him, and will be forwarded to the Army authorities in Wellington.
