WORKS PROGRAMME REVISION.
The half-yearly statement and the public works summary to September 30 was presented to the Mount Roskill Road Board last night by the clerk, Mr. J. H. Keich. The statement showed a credit balance of £1832 15/10, and £3000 on fixed deposit. The board also holds money at call to the extent of £2000.
The clerk said that both rate collections and water revenue were at a very satisfactory level. The receipts in the general account amounted to £17,249 12/7 and arrears of rates were £3018 1/6. Ho suggested that the board should consider the effect of war conditions on the board's policy for developing and improving the district. The future of No. 13 subsidy scheme was uncertain and the board's public works plans would probably need to be drastically changed.
The report was referred to the finance and legal committee to make recommendations.
