LATE SAILINGS.
RAIN DELAYED ALL WORK. KARTIGI FOR WELLINGTON. TWO WATCHLIN BOATS DUE SUNDAY. The steady rain which set in yesterday afternoon and continued until this morning stopped all cargo work on the wharves. A number of vessels have been deferred in their regular sailing time, but most of them are expected to clear port this afternoon. The Union Company's steamer Kartigi, which was originally timed to leave for Wellington last Monday, will sail about 4 p.m. to-day. Two of the Watchlin Line's motor vessels are due on Sunday. The Port Tauranga, in charge of Captain Watchlin, will arrive from Waikokopu to complete discharge and commence loading for her usual ports. It is over three months since this vessel visited Auckland. The company's Port Waikata will leave Lyttelton at 6 p.m. to-day for Wellington and is expected ito clear that port to-morrow evening for Auckland, being due on Sunday. Waiana leaves Lyttelton to-night for Wellington and Auckland and is due on Monday. (U.S.S. Co.) Kaimai, under charter to the Westport Coal Company, will sail this after-' noon on her return south. (W.C. Co.) Pakura, which has been delayed by rain, will sail this afternoon for Gisborne and Napier. (W. and W.) Margaret W. will sail this afternoon on her usual run to the East Coast ports. (F. Co-op.) Waimarino is loading at Prince's wharf for Wellington and South Island ports and is expected to sail to-inorrow evening. (U.S.S. Co.) ARRlVALS—Yesterday.
