PRESENTATION.

Before leaving Taumarunui, Mr. W. S. Thompson, stationmaster, who has been transferred to Palmerston North in a similar capacity, was met by members of the different divisions and presented with a crystal liqueur set and dessert bowl. Mr. R. Kniirlits, acting stationmaster, who made the presentation, said that all members of the staff were sorry at having to farewell an officer who had proved himself so capable and. -was so popular with men of the various divisions. Before coming to Taumarunui about IS months ago Mr. Thompson was stationed at Otahuhu.
